Uniforms
Visit the Steve Matthews Scout Shop at Parmer and I35 or the online shop to purchase your scout’s Class A uniform.
Pack 159 provides each scout a pack t-shirt, which serves as their Class B uniform and is worn to den meetings and informal events.
Lion Scouts’ Class A uniform is a Lion Rank t-shirt and hat, which can be purchased at the scout shop. (The rest of the information below does not pertain to Lions.)
Pack 159 provides each scout with a custom pack number badge (the big red 1 5 9 numbers).
We use the silver Scouts BSA neckerchief slide for all ranks, so you don’t have to buy a new neckerchief slide every year.
BSA-branded uniform bottoms are not required. Scouts and leaders can wear any bottoms in the appropriate color as long as they have belt loops. If you like the BSA bottoms, they’re 25% off when you buy a uniform shirt, through Oct. 31.
BSA-branded socks are not required.
We may not know immediately what den your scout will join. Feel free to wait until we know for sure before you purchase a Den number patch.
Scout store employees are awesome and will help you find everything else:
Shirt
Hat
Belt
Rank kerchief
Insignia
Webelos shoulder loops
Uniform shirts purchased at the scout shop already have the council shoulder patch, world crest emblem, and world crest ring sewn to the shirt.
The scout shop can sew on other patches (unit numbers, den numbers, rank awards, etc.) for a small fee. It usually takes a week or two, depending on the time of year. You’re also welcome to sew your scout’s patches on yourself.
Before you purchase a rank handbook for your scout, check with your den leader. The den may opt to purchase adventure boxes instead of manuals.
